Who we are
Kashi Rahasya is a storytelling project dedicated to Varanasi—its living temples, river rituals, music, food, and the everyday grace of the ghats. We decode history, myths, and local culture in a way that feels human, helpful, and true.
Mission
To make Kashi understandable and lovable for everyone—pilgrims, students, photographers, and travellers—through clear explanations, grounded research, and on‑ground experiences.

Why it matters
Kashi is just not only a city—it’s also known as a heartbeat of the religious, spiritual and cultural capital. We document with care so that visitors look beyond “checklists” and locals see their home with fresh eyes.
Meet the creator
Hi everyone, i am Shashwat Rastogi, who was born and brought up on the land of Varanasi ,also a varanasi‑based storyteller and Mahadev bhakt. Through Kashi Rahasya, I share how the city breathes—one ghat, one story, one ritual at a time.
How we work
Primary research on-site; conversations with priests, locals, and historians
Cross‑checking dates, names, and lineages before publishing
Respectful filming and photography (no disruption of rituals)
No clickbait, no misinformation—only context with compassion
